Fourth of July
We celebrated during the day. Good thing too -- we had a down pour that afternoon and evening. It took us about sixty minutes, fifty-five of which was glue drying to assemble the black and silver rocket. The yellow rocket was about four hours, about twenty minutes of that in actual construction, the rest glue and paint drying. This was our first regular ignition rockets. Previously we did vinegar and baking soda, hydrogen, and air pressure, this time we got to see flames!
Both rockets launched and despite the slight wind, we kept both within the field and recovered both. I wasn't sure the B-engines were going to be powerful enough ... well, when is a rocket engine powerful enough? But they went out of site and were findable. :)
I didn't get pictures of the actual launch being that I was actually doing the countdown, so this is the best ya get.
