Muddy Puddles!
Monday's overcast day (and rainy night) gave Li Mei and I a fun mini-hike at Roxborough State Park Tuesday. I am a strong believer in playing in puddles.
I also gave her an earthworm to hold, not hard to find on a wet rainy day. She thought that was absolutely hilarious.

Monday
A dreary overcast Monday. Another cup of coffee and I'll feel like being active. Really. Really, really active. Really.
The Lone Tree Show didn't get me any ribbons or sales. While looking for "bin work", I did find this photograph I took at the Denver Zoo a year or two ago. When I came home Rowan was upset about his score on a computer bowling game. "I got zero points!" I told him I got zero points too. After we sat together for a few minutes we got Kai and went outside to practice bike riding.
Post-post note. Silly Picasa localhosted my link rather than uploading to blogspot. I wish the Publish button was consistent.

She Will Overcome
From The Case of the Missing Jak'lian Squidmaid of the Notorious Regulus Tavern
As she looked at the broken body of her former informant, her friend, she vowed they would pay. The price would be dear, dear indeed. "He was just a cephalopoid trying to get by in this cold Universe we all call home," she thought. Enforcer Jasmine grabbed her space helmet, knowing that the time to morn was not now. Not yet.

From The Case of the Missing Jak'lian Squidmaid of the Notorious Regulus Tavern
This was a beating he would not soon forget. It was hard to believe her left hook nearly took off one of his heads. As he peeled his facial tentacles from the ship's metal
flooring and looked into her eyes, he knew he would receive no mercy -- only
justice.

Kai and Christine, Fish Feeders
One of the fellows who works at the fish farm asked Kai and Christine if they wanted to feed the fish. (That's them in front, lugging that green bucket.) Of course they thought this was the best job in the world. One handful at a time they threw food to the fish. They carried that three gallon bucket around the fish farm until they'd emptied it, it took about an hour.
Fish Farm
This is the fish farm that underpins the facility at the Colorado Gator preserve. It felt very Feng Shui.
