We'd shown her this toy a few times, but this particular day she really took to it and pulled it around all day.

Managed to read all of your previous blog entries to get the story of Li Mei's adoption. This is lovely. I am chinese (born in HK) and I appreciate heaps what your family is doing to help poor kids.

Li Mei's is so happy and funny, she brings our whole family joy. I've never thought of it as charity. She's my daughter, we just got her a different way.
A whole new world (literally) opens up when one adopts internationally. My boys are learning Mandarin, my husband is expanding on his cooking repetoire, we have gained so many friends and learned so much.
Really, we're the lucky ones.
