Li Mei went on her first flight today from Tai Yuan (the capital of her birth province ShanXi) to Guong Zhou where the American Counsulate is located. Other than the pressure change at take off, she seemed to enjoy her first flight. About ten this night we found out why take off was so traumatic -- an ear infection in each ear. Poor thing, those are the worst. So painful.
The doctor here at the clinic was great. Kathy, our CCAI rep came down with me and translated (though the doctor spoke fairly good english already) and we got Li Mei all the necessary antibiotics. The whole cost was about $30 US. Wow.
Li Mei is sleeping easily now and the pain seems under control. Yea, drugs!
